Construction Vocational Training: WIA program participants, in the construction vocational training program, learn to read and draw blueprints as they learn all aspects of building a house from the beginning to the finished product. Students will learn professional crafts of the construction trade, such as rough and finish cement work, finish wood work, drywall (finish and texture), electrical, plumbing, tiling, painting (inside and outside), and insulation.

Community Emergency Response Team: WIA Youth participants become an arm of the fire department during a community emergency. Program participants are trained by the San Bernardino Fire Department to act as an emergency response team. Training includes, but is not limited to, search and rescue, first aid, putting out small fires, setting up a command center for the fire department, heavy debris removal, and becoming the first line of defense for the fire department during a community emergency. *This is a Certification Program

Green Building: Youth learn to recognize and repair structural water and mold damage in walls and within the air conditioning unit, and its vents. *This is a Certification Program

Mentoring Program: The “Measure of a Man” Mentoring program will cover different aspects of becoming a man, not just outwardly but inwardly. The program includes: making sound decisions, relationships, how to recover from failing, expressing love, facing fear, and becoming a man of integrity.

Eco-Green House: Because of the outstanding job done on the “White house,” the green house which was built for Mrs. White at the PAL Center, many local residents and organizations have put in their bid to have a green house built.
