Code Enforcement: We are presently collaborating with the San Bernardino Code Enforcement to set up worksite training for our WIA youth.

“Mommy and Me”: We are starting a WEB page called “Mommy and Me.” This youth organized and operated WEB page will provide parenting youth with information such as: where to shop for the best sales on diapers, formula, groceries and clothing for their children. It will also provide information on low cost health clinics, community family events and County resources.

Community Garden: Interns from Loma Linda University School of Public Health will construct a community garden on our site. This garden will teach our WIA participants how to plant, harvest and maintain a vegetable garden.

Temporary/ Seasonal Positions for WIA Youth: Our program participants are currently interviewing for several temporary/seasonal job opportunities within the community with employers such as Kohl’s Warehouse, and Select Staffing Inc. Permanent positions are on the horizon for many of our participants because of their excellent work ethic during training with companies such as Toyota, Dollar Tree (Highland and Fontana), United Postal Services, and La Pizza Loca Inc.
