National School Counseling Week: Check our PCA's Awesome Counselors!
This week is National School Counseling Week! PAL Charter Academy would like to recognize our counselor's Ms. Itzel Payan and Mrs. Miriam Sanchez!
Check out what being a school counselor means to them!
"I chose to become a school counselor because I wanted to make a difference in student's lives. Growing up, I had great counselors that guided my way through school both academically as well as emotionally. I wanted to be just like them and make an impression on a student that would last a lifetime. I love being a school counselor because I value education and enjoy helping and encouraging students to do their best as they navigate through school and plan for their future." -Mrs. Sanchez
"Being a school counselor means being the ultimate advocate for all students and their academic and social emotional wellbeing. I am all in because I believe that a student's circumstances should not be the sole dictator of where they go or who they will become in life. As a school counselor, my mission is to help students and families overcome obstacles by supporting them and helping them bridge the gaps." -Ms.Payan
